WillisLogger is a local-first logging app for licensed amateur radio operators — POTA and SOTA activators, DX chasers, contesters, and everyday loggers who want a fast, modern, private logbook that works the same on every device.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your logbook lives on your own device in a local SQLite database. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you deliberately enable an online feature and enter your own credentials. No subscription. No cloud account required to log. No ads, no analytics, no trackers.
LOG FAST
• Auto-uppercase callsigns, a live UTC clock, and real-time duplicate (DUPE) warnings.
• The full extended-ADIF field set: name, QTH, grid square, DXCC, state, zones, power, POTA/SOTA/WWFF/IOTA references, QSL/LoTW/eQSL status, and more.
• Virtual "logs" to organize contacts by activation, contest, or event.
• A touch-adapted interface on mobile; a command palette for keyboard-driven navigation on desktop.
KNOW WHO YOU'RE WORKING
• Callsign lookup via QRZ.com, HamQTH, and HamDB with an opt-in priority chain and an offline callsign database.
• DXCC entity resolver and a callsign info card with photo, flag, distance, and beam heading.
CHASE AND POUNCE
• Live POTA, DX cluster, and RBN spots with click-to-fill and click-to-QSY.
• Needed-multiplier highlighting and a visual bandmap.
• Rig control via Hamlib (rigctld) or FlexRadio / SmartSDR — frequency, mode, S-meter, and tune (network-only on mobile).
OPERATING MODES
• General, POTA (activation and hunter), Contest, and ARRL Field Day, with live score, multiplier, and dupe tracking.
• A data-driven contest library plus a user-defined-contest editor.
• Super Check Partial and call history.
SEE THE BIG PICTURE
• Awards dashboard: DXCC, WAS, WAZ, WPX, WAC, IOTA, VUCC, grids, zones, continents, and POTA — worked vs. confirmed, by band and mode.
• Live world map: worked stations and spots, greyline, and great-circle paths.
• Statistics dashboard with charts.
• Solar and propagation indices with live HF band conditions, plus DX alarms.
• Satellite tracking: pass prediction, ground-track and footprint overlay, and satellite QSO logging.
IMPORT, EXPORT, AND SYNC
• ADIF, Cabrillo, POTA, CSV, and KML import/export.
• QSL card and label printing.
• Optional online logbook sync: QRZ Logbook (up and down), Club Log, and eQSL.
• WSJT-X UDP logging and automatic backup/restore.
A valid amateur radio license is required to transmit.
