Stock Lite is a technical screening tool for people who want to understand
why a stock is showing strength or weakness — not just be told what to do.
Every score is built from five signals you can inspect, not a model you have
to trust:
- Moving-average crossover (30%)
- RSI, 14-day (25%)
- Momentum, 5-day (20%)
- Headline sentiment (15%)
- Bollinger Band position (10%)
Each signal is shown with its raw value, its normalized score, and its
contribution to the total — the same weights, every time, fully disclosed.
INFLECTION POINTS
The price chart marks local peaks and troughs, detected from price alone,
with no reference to news. Look at what happened around a turning point
after the fact, rather than reading a story into the chart in advance.
HEADLINE SENTIMENT
Recent headlines are scored with VADER, a published rule-based sentiment
model, extended with a finance-specific lexicon so that terms like "beats,"
"downgrade," "buyback," and "plunges" are read in their market sense. No
machine learning model, no server, no network call for scoring — every
headline is scored on your device.
WATCHLIST
Save tickers you're tracking. Stored only on your device — no account,
no sync, no cloud.
PRIVACY
No account required. No analytics. No advertising. No tracking. The only
network requests the app makes are to Yahoo Finance for price data and
Google News for headlines — both public sources, fetched directly.
WHAT THIS APP IS NOT
Stock Lite does not give buy or sell recommendations. It does not place
trades, connect to any brokerage, or manage a portfolio. It shows you the
arithmetic behind a set of well-known technical indicators and lets you
draw your own conclusions.
This app is provided for research and educational purposes only. Nothing
in it constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Investing
involves risk, including possible loss of principal. Past performance and
technical patterns do not guarantee future results. Always do your own
research and consult a licensed financial advisor before making investment
decisions.
Transparent technical stock screening. Research tool, not financial advice.
