About this app

Latent reads the metadata of the photos on your phone and shows you a small number
of cards about what it found.

It never looks at your pictures.

From each photo, Latent reads only the time it was taken, the coordinates stored
inside the file, and whether the file is a screenshot. It does not open, decode,
or display image content. It does not recognise objects, scenes, or faces.

WHAT IT SHOWS YOU

Screen or World — how much of what you photographed was a screen, month by month.

When Your Eyes Open — the hour of day you photograph most, and the hours you never do.

Places You Returned To — the locations that appear again and again, drawn without a
map and without a place name.

What Changed — the single figure that moved most between the last three months and
the three before them.

HOW IT WORKS

Everything is calculated on your device. Your photos never leave it. Coordinates are
never sent to a geocoding service, so Latent shows you shapes rather than addresses.

There is no account, no login, and no sync.

Latent does not tell you what to do about any of this.
