About this app

VB Notes keeps your notes as plain markdown files in a folder you choose. No account, no lock-in: any app can open them.

SEARCH BY MEANING
Ask "what does my flatmate owe me" and find "Rent split with Arjun". The search model runs on your phone, so your notes never leave it.

A CLEAN EDITOR
• Headings, lists, checklists, quotes and tables
• Code with colours, and Mermaid diagrams
• Photos and voice notes, saved next to your notes

TAGS, NOT FOLDERS
Write #tags anywhere, nest them like #work/clients, give them icons, and keep busy ones out of the main list.

ON ALL YOUR DEVICES
Keep the folder in iCloud Drive and open it on your computer with the free VB Notes desktop app for Mac, Windows and Linux.

Free. No ads, no tracking, no account.
