About this app

LAWYERPP is a web and mobile app which facilitates access to justice by equipping lawyers with the
tools to run virtual law firms from their smartphones or personal computers.
LAWYERPP is a lifestyle app built around the ordinary person and his everyday need for security and
peace of mind for self and family in an increasingly restive and polarised society. Its Panic Button
functionality also ensures that ordinary persons get help as quickly as possible from next of kin and
lawyers within close proximity in emergency situations (such as anticipated or ongoing arrests, crimes,
accidents, medical emergencies, etc.). The app also contains a widget which can be placed on the user's
homescreen, and which, when activated, transmits their location and a live audio of their surroundings
to their next of kin and lawyers within close proximity, to enable recipients of the Panic Alert know how
best to respond.
LAWYERPP also levels the playing field for lawyers, irrespective of their location and year of admission
into the legal profession, by offering them equal access to requests for legal services and leaving the
trajectory of their law practices simply to their ability to constantly evolve, remain professionally
attractive, and appropriately negotiate with potential clients.
In brief, some of the issues LAWYERPP addresses are:
• Access to justice;
• Quick reportage of human rights abuses and incidences of sexual harassment;
• Dearth of emergency response services; and
• The unemployment problem within the legal services industry.
