Laytime, demurrage and despatch, worked out from the papers you already have.

A laytime calculation usually begins with someone retyping a statement of facts into a spreadsheet. This app exists to remove that step.

DROP THE PAPERS IN
Photograph the statement of facts at the berth, or drop in the recap, the charter party, the notices of readiness and the SOF as PDF, Word, Excel or an image. The terms and the events are read out of them: laytime allowed, the demurrage and despatch rates, the working week, the exceptions, and every event with its time.

CHECK WHAT WAS READ
What was read is shown on a card, beside the clause it came from, and you can change any of it. Nothing is assumed silently and nothing is hidden behind a total.

GET THE LAYTIME STATEMENT
The full time-counted laytime statement: every period from commencement to completion, the event behind it, the clause applied, the hours counted and the hours excluded. Rain, weekends, holidays, shifting, whatever the fixture actually says. Then time used against time allowed, and the demurrage or despatch that falls out of it, to the cent.

THE CALCULATOR IS FREE AND NEEDS NO ACCOUNT
Open it and calculate. The engine is the real one, with nothing rounded and nothing crippled: one port, one side of the fixture. The PDF and the spreadsheet you export are marked DEMO. Every figure in them is complete and correct; the file is not one you would send to the other side.

WHAT IT WILL NOT DO
It will not tell you whether a notice of readiness was valid, and it will not decide whether a claim is time-barred. Those belong to the master, the broker and the lawyer. This records what the clause says, counts the time, and shows its working so that every hour can be traced to the line it came from.

YOUR DOCUMENTS ARE NOT KEPT
Files are read in memory and discarded. They are never written to disk, to a database or to a backup. There is no advertising code and no third-party analytics in this app, and it asks for no permission beyond access to the internet.
