About this app

With this app you can choose to use any wallpaper you wish, and still have some control of the dynamic colors, independent on what your wallpaper has!

Features :
1. A tutorial explaining you how to use it, including about Dynamic colors.
2. Choose the content (image/animation).
3. Choose what to do on double-tap : lock device or turn off display.
4. Choose the colors to request the OS to generate Dynamic colors from.
5. Some experimental flags.

Notes:
- It works by hosting your wallpaper inside itself, as it's a live wallpaper app.
- If you set the app as a live wallpaper app, it means you can't use another live wallpaper app that shows its content, within it. Only one live wallpaper app can be active. This is how Android works. I can't do anything about it.
You can still choose any other wallpaper for the lock-screen, though, instead of this one.
- For Dynamic colors to do anything, the OS must support it. If the OS doesn't support it, there is nothing I can do about it.
- The app's usage of accessibility is only for its feature of locking the screen, and does not collect any information and does not send any information.

After seeing the glaring white drop down of 8.1 I knew I needed to change it. This app does just that. At first it was a little hard to set up, and I had some run in's with widgets not working (will update if it happens again) but overall it gets the job done. I do wish the bottom 3 virtual buttons had a dark overlay as well (can't remember if the api naturally did it if you had a dark background) and I wish we could crop images with our own apps (like Google photos) since the cropping is more limited here. Would love to see some movement with the photos, like if you would swipe around it would slowly inch forward and show more like with traditional stock google backgrounds, but maybe one day. Not perfect, but does the job more then well and is a good replacement until Google does something about it themselves. Thanks creator!

Bottom 3 buttons is possible (using other apps), though not officially. About this, and about the swiping feature, check the FAQ. About more advanced cropping, this is not a professional image editing app. At first it didn't even have a cropping feature. It's a tiny app I'm making on my spare time. Please reconsider the review. It's unfair.

The app crashes. A lot. If you are ok with babysitting the application and relaunching it 3-4 times a day, it is great. Edit: 3 stars because the app has to be restarted several times a day. On my pixel 3, I simply install the app, set custom color for my wallpaper, and it works, but within 4 hours the wallpaper reverts to system default as LWP+ stops running. Other live wallpaper apps have not had this problem. I have run the solar dynamics observatory live wallpaper and it never crashes.

Today I've published a new version (v2.33) and disabled auto-backup functionality of the Play Store, which might have caused it. Can you please check it out and tell me if it helped ? Why 3 stars?🤔😔

UX needs work. Couldn't get it to use current wallpaper; got stuck in some weird edit loop with no back feature. Why even require edit if trying to use current wallpaper? It didn't change any theme colors anywhere no matter how many times I tried/restarted. Don't have further time for this disaster. All it did was reset my wallpaper and colors back to default. Dev complains at any rating less than 5 stars. Total fail = 1 star.

Please try the new version. I've added a tutorial with step-by-step explanation of how to use the app. If you still fail to use the app, please contact me. Why 1 star? 🤔🥺
