What is The TOEIC Training Tool?
The TOEIC Training Tool is a simple but highly effective app. specially designed to help you improve your English grammar and vocabulary. It contains questions in a similar format to that of part 5 of the TOEIC. The questions are dividend into grammar and vocabulary categories.
How does it work?
Select any of the items from the main list and click on any of the sub-categories. Then answer the questions that are displayed by clicking on a, b, c or d. Once you've answered all the questions, get your score by clicking on the button 'Get score'. You can see your right and wrong answers indicated with an appropriate icon. For revision purposes you can add any the questions to the 'My Revision List' category by clicking on the check-box 'Include in my revision list'. You can also do a practice test which contains 30 questions randomly picked from all the categories to test your general progress.
Additional functionality
When you perform a long press on any text in the questions and answers, the action bar presents you with the options 'Define', 'Pronounce' and '' .
Click on 'Define' to get the English definition of the selected word.
Click on 'Pronounce' to hear the selected word.
Click on ''' (Name of chosen language in 'settings') to get a translation of the selected word.
Note: you need an Internet connection for both the define and translate features
Settings Page
You can open the 'settings' page from the Android options menu.
There are 3 settings :
'Max. Questions Category' - This allows you to choose the maximum number of questions for each category
'Max. Questions Practice Test' - This allows you to choose the maximum number of questions for the random Practice Test
'Translation Target Language' - This allows you to select the target language for any of the words/text selected (see above).
Who is it for?
This app. can be used by anyone who is preparing to do the TOEIC. It is also very useful for any non-native English speaker who wants to improve their English grammar and vocabulary.
