Three numbers decide whether a rental made money: fuel back short, hours run past the allowance, and damage the customer says was already there. A carbon ticket left on a dashboard settles none of them.
This app builds two records for every machine that goes out, one at check-out and one at check-in, and turns the gap between them into a priced sheet you can hand over or email.
THE SAME SIX FRAMES, TWICE
Front, rear, both sides, cab, hour meter, fuel gauge. When the machine comes back, the check-out photo is ghosted over the viewfinder so the second shot lines up with the first. Each image keeps the moment it was taken and a hash you can re-check months later.
THE CAMERA READS THE METER
Point the phone at the hour meter. Nothing is offered until three frames in a row agree, and the number stays editable until you confirm it. A reading below the check-out figure is flagged, and so is one more than 2000 hours above it. Torch is one tap, and after four seconds the keypad opens by itself.
THE SHEET DOES THE ARITHMETIC
Meter out, meter back, included hours per rental day. Whatever is left over is multiplied by your excess hour rate, and every line prints the sum it came from instead of a bare total. Fuel is logged at both ends in gallons, liters or eighths of a tank; record the tank capacity on the machine and eighths turn into a real shortfall.
DAMAGE NEXT TO THE BEFORE SHOT
Each damage item wants a close-up, printed beside the check-out photograph of the same panel. Anything visible at check-out is carried forward as pre-existing and never billed twice. An item you cannot price on the spot is marked quote to follow and stays out of the total.
ATTACHMENTS AND CLEANING
Buckets, bucket teeth, forks, keys, chargers, power leads, blades. Every rental carries its own list, counted back in at check-in, and whatever is missing or broken lands on the sheet. One switch adds your cleaning fee when a machine comes back caked.
ONE RATE CARD
Included hours per rental day, excess hour rate, fuel per unit, cleaning fee, minimum charge per damage item, tax percent. Set once, applied to everything raised afterwards. The app proposes no rate of its own: leave the card empty and the total is zero, not a guess.
SIGNED WHERE THE MACHINE IS
Whoever takes the machine and whoever brings it back sign on screen, with their name and the time. Signing locks the figures. Corrections go out as an amendment sheet referencing the original, and both are kept.
WHAT YOU GET OUT
A recharge sheet PDF carrying its photographs and signatures, check-out and check-in record PDFs, a machine history PDF, a CSV of rentals and sheets, and a ZIP of the photos. Share to any app or print it directly.
THE BOARD
The home screen opens on whatever is furthest past its return date. Twice a day the app names overdue machines and sheets nobody has answered in a week. A widget counts what is out without opening it. Scan the code on the machine to pull up the right asset instead of spelling out an ID in the rain.
STAYS ON THE PHONE
No account, no sign-in, no advertising on any screen. Photographs, signatures and figures are written to the device as you go. Backups go to a folder you pick, encrypted with AES-256 if you set a passphrase. A restore only runs on a device holding no rentals, so two sets of evidence never merge.
ALSO CALLED
An equipment return inspection, a rental check-in condition report, an equipment damage report, an off-hire or plant hire sheet, a machine hours log, a fleet checkout form. A damage waiver stays a matter between you and your customer; nothing here is cover or advice.
WHO IT IS FOR
Equipment rental yards, tool rental counters, and contractors renting out their own machines. Mini excavators, skid steers, telehandlers and forklifts, scissor lifts and boom lifts, generators, compactors, cutters and breakers, mini dumpers, and anything else you name. Built for construction, heavy equipment rental and tool rental; works offline with no signal.
