LEGIO AETERNA is a hand-written narrative roguelite RPG set in the armies of the Roman Republic. You begin as a Tiro — the lowest recruit, digging ditches and emptying latrines — and claw your way up seven ranks to Primus Pilus, the first spear of the legion. Every campaign is a different life. Most of them end badly.
Hundreds of branching events, crises, and skirmishes. Hold the line against war elephants. Talk down a mutiny at dawn. Cross the river, or refuse. Every choice is a stat check with real consequences — and the dice don't care about your plans.
Face barbarian warriors, Numidian skirmishers, Gallic chieftains — and named bosses like the Gallic Warlord and the War Elephant. Pick your formation, manage your stamina, choose your target, and watch the d20 fall.
Six gear slots across five tiers, from a rusty pugio to a legendary Primus Gladius. Train sword, shield, and pilum. Recruit loyal companions. Earn a place in the Hall of Fame.
