Every day departments, offices, and clubs hold events and meetings across campus with food. Often, when these events and meetings end, there is leftover food that gets thrown away. Our goal is to end this wasteful cycle on university campuses.

The purpose of the Frood application is to advertise leftover food from events and meetings at university campuses to help reduce food insecurity and food waste on campus. Frood will allow faculty, staff, and students to post leftover food from an event or meeting either through the mobile app or web interface. In addition, students who are looking for free leftover food can view active events on either the mobile application or web interface.

I use the app it's good for students looking for food! posting food is hard, it wont let you post food becuase it cant understand the location. Ive tried copying from Google Maps and writing the name of the building exactly, but it still wont let me post. I like that it has a map feature, but Id like if it could still function without it. Also, I gave it camera permissions, but it still thinks it doesnt have access so I cant use the camera. As a student looking for food it rocks though.

I go to UC Davis and I love the idea of this app, I hope it gets even more popular!
