About this app
LekhaScan turns a photo of a printed page into text you can edit, and into documents you can send. It reads both Bangla and English.
Point your camera at a page. LekhaScan outlines the page for you, straightens it, recognises the text, lets you correct anything it got wrong, and saves the result as a PDF or as a Microsoft Word (.docx) file you can open in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice.
BUILT FOR BANGLA
Most scanner apps handle English well and Bangla badly. LekhaScan uses a recognition engine trained for Bangla script, and it handles mixed writing — English words, numbers, phone numbers and email addresses sitting inside Bangla sentences — instead of turning them into nonsense. Bangla and English recognition are built in, so scanning works even without internet.
The app is available in both Bangla and English.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Scan a page: the camera outlines the page before you take the photo
• Straighten and crop with automatically placed corners, and rotate
• Choose a look: Original, Magic Color, Grayscale or Black & White
• Correct the recognised text, copy it, or read the page again in the other language
• Save as PDF or as Microsoft Word (.docx)
• Build multi-page documents, drag pages into order, and tap a page to fix its crop
• Import photos from your gallery, one or many at once
• Leave a multi-page document unfinished and continue it later
• Keep your files in folders; search, rename, move, share or delete them
• Open your PDFs right inside the app
• Light and dark theme

Your pages stay clean. No stamp across the page, no "upgrade to remove" message.
YOUR DOCUMENTS STAY ON YOUR PHONE
Recognition runs entirely on your device. Your photos and the text read from them are never uploaded. There is no account, no sign-up, and no server holding your files. Everything you create is saved to your own Downloads folder, where other apps can reach it and it stays even if you uninstall LekhaScan. The app sends anonymous crash reports and usage statistics to help us fix problems; these never include your photos, text or file names.

LekhaScan is free and supported by ads. Multi-page documents are free up to 5 camera pages; past that you can watch a short video to add another 5 pages whenever you need them. Photos imported from your gallery have no limit.
