About this app

The Lenovo™ PC Diagnostics 2.0 app is designed to assist users with the display and debug of diagnostic information available on select Lenovo ThinkPad™ models (ThinkPad 13 2nd gen or later) and select ThinkStation™ (models P520, P720, P920). Downloading and launching this application will allow you to acquire the audio tones that are produced by your ThinkPad or ThinkStation when an abnormal or error condition is present. The tones are then translated to a specific error message which will be displayed on your smartphone. The application requires your phone to have an operating system level of Android v12 and above. Operating systems below v4.0.3 will not work with this application.

doesn't detect. I've tried on moto g 2025, oneplus 13r, galaxy s25... three different companies. I have dug up a galaxy s3 and s8 and will update this review if they work...if I don't update it then it'll be a very large test group spanning nearly a decade all not being compatible with the app. frustrated that its come to this edit: the s8 is the same as other phones and doesn't detect anything, the s3 can't even run the app long enough to try to detect. this app belongs in the graveyard

As with some others here, mine worked flawlessly, turned on my ThinkPad with the app recording, it picked up the code, told me it was RAM (it was a used motherboard and I hadn't bothered to check if RAM was in it), installed said RAM and problem fixed... still not sure what was wrong with the morse code beeps of the olden days but hey, I guess there's more flexibility with being able to beep out a fully numeric code.

it doesn't accurately detect the beeps on my phone even if i take a recording and play it loud. save yourself a hassle, most of the problems can be solved by trying to push the reset pin on the bottom of the laptop (look up how for your model)
