About this game

E-ink Chinese Chess Pro is a Xiangqi / Chinese Chess app designed for serious training, analysis, opening study, puzzle practice and engine-vs-engine testing.

The interface is optimized for black-and-white E-ink Android devices, with high contrast pieces, simple controls and a comfortable layout for long study sessions.

Main features:
- ElephantEye is the default engine, with NNUE and DynamicMix support.
- Pikafish engine is included. Pikafish NNUE is not bundled; users may load their own .nnue file from the device.
- Fairy-Stockfish with NNUE support is included for engine play and analysis.
- Opening books for training and testing.
- More than 20,000 puzzles.
- Hint mode, save/load, undo/redo and analysis features.
- English and Vietnamese language support.
- Works offline for the main chess features.

Open-source engine licenses and notices are provided in the app/source package. The Android GUI and app interface are developed separately for this app.

What’s new

V159 compliance update.

Updated target API level to Android 16 / API 36 and improved compatibility for newer Android devices. This update keeps Xiangqi gameplay, engine analysis, hints, Study/KIFU features, and phone file loading.
