🕒 Learn and Play Chess Step-by-Step (Time-wise Rules):

🔹 0:00 – Game Start

Each player begins with 16 pieces: 1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Rooks, 2 Bishops, 2 Knights, and 8 Pawns.

White always starts the game.

🔹 0:30 – Understanding Piece Movement

Pawn: Moves forward 1 square (or 2 on first move), captures diagonally.

Rook: Moves straight vertically or horizontally.

Bishop: Moves diagonally any number of squares.

Knight: Moves in L-shape (2+1), can jump over pieces.

Queen: Combines rook and bishop moves.

King: Moves 1 square in any direction.

🔹 1:30 – Special Rules

Castling: Move king and rook at once under certain conditions.

En Passant: Special pawn capture if opponent advances two squares.

Promotion: When a pawn reaches the last rank, it can become a queen, rook, bishop, or knight.

🔹 2:30 – Check, Checkmate, and Stalemate

Check: King is under threat.

Checkmate: No legal move to escape check – game over.

Stalemate: No legal move, but king is not in check – game is a draw.
