About this game
Letter Roller is a portrait word puzzle for short sessions or long
study breaks — calm when you want pressure off, sharp when you want
a challenge.
THE CORE LOOP
Each level is a grid of letter columns next to a list of target words.
Touch a column and every letter in that column moves together.
Line the letters up with the rows where they belong; when a word is
complete it clears with a satisfying snap. One column touches many
words at once, so clever planning feels great — but you can always
undo a bad scroll and keep going.
WHY IT IS DIFFERENT
• Column scrolling, not typing — no on-screen keyboard, no dragging
individual tiles. One thumb, on the bus or in bed.
• No third-party ads and no hearts / lives / stamina gates. Play
when you want, not when a timer says you may.
• Three launch languages — English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese —
from a single app with separate progress per language. (More
languages will join as we expand after soft launch.)
• Multiple modes for different moods:
– Competition: step budget, scoring and long-term rank-style
progression on your device (no cross-player ladder at launch).
– Learning: read the words before the round, gentler pacing,
focus on meaning and pronunciation.
– Review: words you have seen before, surfaced on a simple spaced
schedule so they come back at the right time.
– Daily Challenge: one hand-crafted puzzle per day with a clear
efficiency goal — compare with your own past runs and a local
percentile, not a live global board.
• Vocabulary book — every target word earns a card with part of
speech and a short definition. Study them in any order you like.
• Children & Calm options — reduced motion, no streak pressure in
kid mode, and settings aimed at players who want a quieter session
(including many neurodivergent and struggling readers).
PRIVACY & OFFLINE
No account is required. Your progress, language choice and settings
stay on the device unless you explicitly opt into features that need
the network. Text-to-speech for pronunciation is optional and can be
disabled in Settings.
PRO (OPTIONAL)
Letter Roller is free. Pro helps fund ongoing work with a simple
subscription and small packs for optional assists such as Lucky hints
or an extra revive — never a paywall that blocks entire languages or
level packs.
