Flourish is a beautifully simple journal built for home bakers who want to refine their bread with one careful experiment at a time. The app uses the familiar warmth of a wooden proofing board and round woven proofing baskets to make tracking your trials feel natural and inviting. Each entry you create is a single proofing basket where you record a short trial name, the one ingredient or technique you changed from your base recipe, a crumb score from one to five, and a quick result note. The Proofing Board tab greets you with a clean dashboard that shows your progress at a glance through two slim wooden baker’s peels resting at the top of the board. One peel displays the total number of proofing baskets you have logged, while the other reveals your average crumb score across all your experiments. A small round baker’s peel button sits in the lower right corner, letting you open the Capture screen instantly whenever inspiration strikes. On the Capture screen you fill in the four essential fields for a new trial, and you can open any existing basket from the list to edit its details or remove it entirely. The Basket List tab keeps every trial organized by date, with a search bar that helps you instantly find a basket by its trial name or the changed variable. Tapping any item takes you back to the editing form, so refining your notes or adjusting a score is always just a tap away. All your data is stored securely on your device, which means you can use Flourish in the kitchen without accounts, internet connections, or distractions. The Baker Settings tab provides a clear summary of how many baskets are saved and gives you the option to reset everything when you want a fresh start. Flourish was designed for bakers who test one variable at a time, for sourdough beginners comparing small batch methods, and for families keeping a lightweight log of what worked and what didn't. With its calm, tactile interface and no-fuss workflow, you spend less time managing apps and more time learning from your dough.
