About this app

The LibraryThing app allows LibraryThing members to catalog and browse their collections. LibraryThing is focused on books, but you can add most media, including books, DVDs and CDs. LibraryThing relies on data from Amazon, and over 65 million library records.

Add books by searching for them or scanning their ISBN barcode with the camera.

Add high-resolution cover photos of your books with the cover editor and browse your books by cover type to find copies that need better covers.

Haven't had any terrible experiences when it came to stability, but the tags are very messy when it comes to organizing one's library. I would like the option to hide other users' tags and only see mine. Some are popping up twice with one letter different but I can't fix them all because the two already act merged when they're not... I would rather use the mobile site over the app because this is hopefully minor but just annoying enough.

Most special edition ISBNs are not accepted because they lean heavily on Amazon for their book information. This is not a critique, but more of a warning to those with special editions. My main issue: With regular books, the scanner is more likely to capture a completely random ISBN on the first try than grab the correct one. I think it's because it "scans" too quickly. Either way, this app is essentially unusable.

I scanned a single barcode, and the app added 4 different books to my library. When I press the delete button on one of the erroneous books afterwards, the app crashes every single time. The extra title never gets deleted. If you're looking for an app that makes it quick and easy to add and remove items from your collection, look elsewhere.
