The LibraryThing app allows LibraryThing members to catalog and browse their collections. LibraryThing is focused on books, but you can add most media, including books, DVDs and CDs. LibraryThing relies on data from Amazon, and over 65 million library records.

Add books by searching for them or scanning their ISBN barcode with the camera.

Add high-resolution cover photos of your books with the cover editor and browse your books by cover type to find copies that need better covers.

I LOVE Librarything. The desktop site is fabulous. And the app USED to be excellent. Perfect for seeing if I already have that book at home before accidentally buying another copy. Great for scanning barcodes to easily and quickly add books to my catalogue. But now it's completely useless. My library won't load, it's showing the same 5 books repeatedly. The scanner scans everything twice. I can't view or edit my collections. It badly needs an update.

Edit: it's been better, let's hope it stays getting back to better so i can change this permanently. I've had this app for over a year now. In the beginning, it was great. Now, it crashes, gets stuck, perpetually "loads", never really getting there, and I can't see most covers. And on top of all this, it is ultra slow. Please fix it! I love being able to access what books I have/need/want!

I've been using the app for years and really appreciate the ability to update and search my collection when I'm on the road. Lately, the app has been having some bug issues (crashing, duplicate adds, and long, unresolved load times). Overall still my go-to library management app
