Charades on one phone. One player holds the phone, and the team explains the word with words or gestures. Count how many you get before the time runs out. No sign-in and no online play.
■ How it works
- One player holds the phone sideways on the forehead, with the screen facing the team.
- The team explains the word with words or gestures, without saying it.
- Got it right? Tilt the phone down. Too hard? Tilt it up to pass.
- Bring the phone back up and the next word appears.
- When the time is up, the next team takes its turn.
■ Two modes
- Tilt: phone on your forehead. Tilt down for correct, up to pass.
- Buttons: a host looks at the screen and taps Correct or Pass. Use it where tilting the phone is awkward.
- Tilt sensitivity can be set to Low, Normal or High.
- If the phone doesn't pick up your position, the Start button gets the turn going anyway.
- On a phone that can't read the tilt, Correct and Pass buttons appear on the same screen.
■ Teams and rules
- 1 to 4 teams. You can name the teams.
- Time per turn: 60, 90 or 120 seconds.
- 1 to 5 rounds. In one round every team takes one turn.
- Passes: unlimited, or 3 per turn.
■ Words
- 18 topics: actions, feelings, animals, jobs, sports, food, places and more.
- 12 topics are open from the start and 6 can be opened a day at a time.
- More than 1,200 words in total, counting the topics you open a day at a time.
- Pick several topics and mix them.
- Topics that work well without talking are marked "Good to act out".
- You can play with easy words only.
- Words that came up are remembered, so new words come first. You can reshuffle in Settings.
- My topics: make your own word lists for your group.
■ Results and scores
- After each turn you see the list of words you got and words you passed.
- Tap a word in the list to fix a wrong call.
- With two or more teams, a scoreboard shows the ranking between rounds.
- The final result puts the teams on a podium. Tied teams share the rank.
■ Easy to run
- Sound and vibration for correct, pass and time up, and a ticking sound for the last 10 seconds. You can turn them off in Settings.
- Press Back during a turn to hide the word and pause.
- Your game is saved. Close the app and pick up where you left off. If the app closed in the middle of a turn, that turn is played again.
- No internet needed to play.
■ Privacy
Your games, team names and your own topics are stored on your phone and are never sent to our servers. If Google backup is on, they are included in your phone backup.
Tilt sensor readings are used on the phone only to tell correct from pass. They are not stored or sent.
Google services process device information for ads and app usage statistics. See the privacy policy for details.
