Lightstead bundles the seven family apps you're already juggling — calendar, chores, groceries, recipes, lists, kid economy, journal — into one warm system built for the tablet on the kitchen wall. And for the families who homeschool, it's the only one that maps every state's law.

One subscription covers the whole household — both parents, every child, every module. No per-seat fees. No upsells. Modules switch on when you want them, hide when you don't.

📅 Family Calendar. One calendar for the whole household. Two-way Google Calendar sync (connect up to four accounts). Subscribe from Apple Calendar via ICS export. Color-coded per member. Day, week, and month views. Meal plans woven into the week.

🏠 Chores & Stewardship. Rotating chore rules so the same kid isn't always taking out the trash. Per-child boards. Optional reward economy with an in-family points ledger — no real money moves, no third-party payment processor for kid rewards.

📝 Shared Lists. Grocery, packing, household to-dos. Reorder by hand, sort by store aisle, attach a photo when "the orange one" matters.

📚 Homeschool — all 50 states + DC. Attendance, subjects, assignments, grades, work-sample portfolio, transcript PDF, inspection-packet PDFs, evaluator-share links, filing reminders. Currently models 43 jurisdictions in full statutory detail, 8 with statute summaries.

🍳 Recipes & Meal Plans. Build the family recipe library — paste a URL to import (JSON-LD scraping) or enter by hand. Drag recipes onto the week to plan dinner. Generate the grocery list from the plan.

📔 Family Wall + Journal. Notes, announcements, household traditions. Per-member bullet journal with tags and cross-linking.

🕯️ Formation. Track family rhythms, incidents, restoration. Optional — turn it on only if it fits your family.

Privacy by design. Server-enforced authorization on every screen. Parents control what children can see. EXIF metadata (including GPS) is stripped from homeschool work-sample photos before upload. Crash reporting (Sentry) and analytics only ever see an opaque numeric ID for child sessions — never an email, never a display name. No behavioral-advertising SDKs. What’s new

• Setup you can come back to: if your phone closed part-way through setup, pick up where you left off. Nothing you entered is lost, and children you added aren't created twice.
• Private lists are private again — only their creator can see them.
• Hiding a calendar sticks on the first try.
• A removed Google calendar no longer vanishes without explanation.
• The journal stays on the page you opened.
• Setup tells you when a choice didn't save.
