Lightworx is an internal company app used by technicians to manage their daily field work.

The app helps technicians view assigned jobs, track tasks, update work progress, capture job documentation, and handle job-related information while on site. It is designed to support day-to-day operations by giving staff a simple way to manage their work directly from their mobile device.

Live Location for Dispatch:

When a technician is signed into the Lightworx app, we can share their live location with dispatch. This allows dispatch coordinators to see technicians on the admin map and manage field jobs more effectively.

On Android, live location sharing uses a foreground location service. When location sharing is active, Android displays an ongoing notification so the technician knows that their location is being updated. Location sharing stops when the technician signs out or force-closes the app. This is a core part of the dispatch workflow.
