About this app

Limitra Social is a focus and screen time app that lets you set daily time limits on the apps you choose and locks them once the limit is used up.

⚠️ USE OF THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE API

Limitra Social uses the Android Accessibility Service API for one purpose only: to detect which app is currently in the foreground. The app uses this information to display a lock screen over that app once the daily time limit you set yourself has been reached. This is the app's core and only use of the API; without this permission app blocking cannot work, and there is no other Android API that provides this reliably.

Through this service, Limitra Social DOES NOT read, log, collect or transmit screen content, text, messages, passwords, keystrokes or financial information. Only the package name of the foreground app is processed, entirely locally on your device. You are shown this disclosure inside the app before granting the permission, and you can revoke it at any time in Android Settings > Accessibility. If you do not grant it, the rest of the app remains usable.

OTHER PERMISSIONS

• Display over other apps (System Alert Window): required to show the lock screen when a limit is reached.
• Usage Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): used to calculate on-device screen time for the apps you select.
• Foreground Service: required so that limit tracking continues after you close the app.
