The LIMPAÍ Project is a civil society initiative in Orlândia that aims to promote urban cleanliness, environmental education, and continuous community mobilization. We work in strategic partnership with schools, the Residents' Association (AMO), the private sector, and the public authorities, strengthening the culture of shared responsibility in the municipality. Our central objectives include raising public awareness about the correct disposal of waste, promoting the principles of the 3 Rs (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle), and engaging the community in clean-up campaigns and educational activities.
To achieve this mission, we developed the LIMPAÍ App (available for Android and WEB). This digital tool serves as fundamental didactic support for elementary school teachers and as a portal of knowledge and action for any citizen interested in the Environment.
Key App Features:
- Interactive and Accessible Education: Offers clear explanations, reinforced by games and questions (quizzes), serving as a Portal of Didactic Resources for the consolidation of concepts and the engagement of municipal schools.
- Participatory Monitoring: The application acts as a Local Monitoring Didactic Panel, focused on waste management and air quality. Users actively participate by registering city situations through a PIN on the map, contributing to a local inventory.
- Challenges for Action: The platform develops practical challenges that guide sustainability actions, integrating learning into the community's lived space.
- Data and Transparency: Provides a Platform for Collecting and Demonstrating public data on air quality.
- Participation Assessment: Through registration (indicating school, company or institution), it is possible to assess the level of participation and engagement of different groups.
The Final Result is to establish continuous reflection with teachers and the community on how to ensure healthy environments. Active participation in LIMPAÍ will be used as an important tool for analyzing the socio-environmental development of Orlândia.
