`Lineage is a narrative survival game set in a harsh, impoverished, and unpredictable medieval city. Here, you don't control a legendary hero: you start from the bottom, hungry, cold, penniless, and with a fragile life, trying to survive another day while forging the destiny of your bloodline.
Every decision matters. You can beg, wander, work, buy clothes, improve your reputation, discover trades, embark on adventures, and unlock new opportunities. But the city also responds: getting sick, failing, falling out of favor, or dying are all part of the journey.
Death is not the end. Every life leaves something for the next. Through the lineage system, you will accumulate a legacy to unlock permanent improvements and give those who come after you a better chance. Little by little, a humble surname can become a family with more resources, more prestige, and a greater chance of prospering.
