About this app

What the app does
ElPrognos shows hourly electricity spot-style prices for bidding areas in Sweden (SE1–SE4), Norway (NO1–NO5), Denmark (DK1–DK2), and Finland (FI). You can view today and tomorrow (when published), browse recent history, optionally use location to suggest a price area, and see simple illustrative cost estimates for common household activities. Prices and estimates are for information and planning only; your actual bill depends on your contract, taxes, grid fees, and supplier.

How prices work
Nordic day-ahead electricity prices are set on the wholesale market (Nord Pool). ElPrognos does not connect to a private Nord Pool API. Instead, the app downloads publicly available JSON price feeds from independent websites that publish those market prices (often including VAT where applicable). Availability of tomorrow's prices follows market publication times (typically afternoon CET/CEST; Finland may differ).

These services present Nord Pool day-ahead spot prices for each country/area. For official market context see Nord Pool (https://data.nordpoolgroup.com / https://www.nordpoolgroup.com). Finland's publisher also references ENTSO-E Transparency (https://transparency.entsoe.eu/).

Important limitations
• Displayed values may include VAT or local presentation rules from each source site; they may omit grid fees, retailer markups, or other charges on your invoice.
• Data can be delayed, incomplete, or temporarily unavailable if a source site is down.
• Not financial, legal, or energy-supply advice.
