About this app

Cryptify is a private place on your phone for photos, videos and documents. It works like an encrypted disk on a computer: open the app, enter your password, and browse your files. Leave the app and the vault locks.

Your files, encrypted on this phone
• Every file is encrypted on its own with AES-256-GCM. File names, folders and types are encrypted too, in a separate encrypted index.
• Your password is turned into a key with Argon2id, which makes guessing passwords slow.
• Nothing is stored in plain form: no temporary files, no thumbnail cache, no preview cache.

Works like a file manager
• Folders, grid and list views, search, sort and multi-select.
• Built-in viewers for photos, videos, audio, PDFs and text, so files open without leaving the vault.
• Import from anywhere through the system file picker, and export when you need a file outside the vault.

Locks when you leave
• The vault locks when you leave the app, after a delay you choose, and always when the screen turns off.
• Optional biometric unlock with a strong biometric.
• Screenshots and the recent apps preview are blocked inside the app.

No account, no network
• Cryptify has no internet permission. It cannot send your files or anything about them anywhere.
• No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
• Encrypted backups: save the whole vault as a single file and restore it on another phone with your password.

Before you start
• There is no password recovery. If you forget your password, your files cannot be opened, by you or anyone else. Keep a backup of the vault and remember the password.
• Deleting originals after import is not a secure wipe. Flash storage may keep recoverable copies.
• While the vault is unlocked, it cannot protect you from malware already running on the phone. Someone with a copy of the vault folder can see roughly how many files there are and how large they are, but not what they are.
