"The lemmatizer is one of the biggest advantages of the app when compared to the printed version of the NLD. Lakota is a highly agglutinating language. Affixes are added to words all the time, so unless you know the stem of the word with affixes, you won’t be able to find it in the dictionary. The app does that for you. If you type in e.g. waŋwíčhablake the app will show you the entry waŋyáŋkA."

Downloaded app direct from Play Store. Like the others who posted before me, got a Download Error 3 times. Since I'm posting this after your Jul 9 response, looks like it's still not working. And Google refused to refund my money. Please fix or refund my money. UPDATE: I was able to download a more recent version and everything worked beautifully. I use this dictionary quite frequently and it's been extremely helpful in learning the Lakota language!

This version of the mobile app doesn't work nearly as well or easy as the 2 nd edition. I wish I could get my old version back. This one is less intuitive. I used the previous dictionary to translate songs primarily. But I always learned more from the definitions and examples than I ever expected to. Still there are some wakan concepts that aren't included or well defined. It was an awesome resource.

I am so excited with this app! I love that is has pronunciation recordings. I just found out it cross-reference the Lakota words used in the definition examples too, making it very easy to learn to say whole phrases as well, with a "favorites" tab so I can practice the same words or phrases again and again. Amazing!!!
