LiteWing gives you seamless control over Wi‑Fi–enabled drones. It uses the same family of CRTP-style commands familiar from the Crazyflie and ESP‑Drone stacks, so you can fly LiteWing series drones, ESP‑DRONE–compatible builds, Crazyflie‑class quads, and other custom or open‑source aircraft that expose the standard UDP control link on the drone’s network (no internet connection required to fly).
Flight control
• Dual joysticks — roll, pitch, yaw, and thrust in a landscape layout built for two‑thumb flying.
• Sensitivity / expo — adjust how strongly the sticks respond via flight settings.
• Roll and pitch trim — correct drift so the drone tracks straighter.
• Yaw mode toggle — choose whether the left stick’s horizontal axis yaws the drone, depending on how you like to fly.
Flight modes
• Altitude hold — maintains height automatically so you can focus on horizontal control.
• Position hold — holds position using onboard sensing (for example optical flow) when your firmware and hardware support it; nudge position with the sticks when the mode is active.
Monitoring and status
• Battery voltage — live voltage for flight‑time awareness.
• Height and sensor readouts — altitude and related values when the drone reports them.
• Optical flow / motion hints — flow quality and motion feedback when available.
• Link status — see when the app is actually talking to the aircraft.
• On‑screen status lines — compact debug-style lines for pilots who want numbers at a glance.
Safety and awareness
• Emergency stop — dedicated control to stop flight immediately when conditions allow (use with care).
• Arming checks — the app confirms the drone is responding before treating the session as ready to arm.
• Audio feedback — connection and mode cues without staring at the screen.
Lights and camera
• NeoPixel / LED screen — customize colours and patterns on drones with addressable LEDs.
• Arm cue — brief LED feedback aligned with audio on supported hardware.
• Camera view (Beta) — optional live view when your drone exposes a compatible stream; quality varies by hardware and firmware.
First launch
• Built‑in onboarding — SSID pattern, LED behaviour (searching vs connected), and a tour of the main buttons and what they do.
Interface
• Landscape‑first design — large joysticks and readable status so controls stay in view while flying.
Compatibility
Not every drone exposes every sensor or feature. Position hold, optical flow data, NeoPixels, and camera depend on your specific drone, firmware, and add‑ons.
LiteWing controls real aircraft, not a simulation. Obey local regulations, fly in safe areas, and use emergency features responsibly.
