Studio Field is a companion for your Teenage Engineering devices - manage, back up, transfer, organize, and preview your content from an Android phone or tablet.
Connect over USB and keep a local Library and backups on this phone or tablet. Use Share or Save to folder to copy an item into Files, Downloads, Google Drive, an SD card, or another app.
OP-1 FIELD
• Connect over USB-C (MTP — SHIFT + COM, then T4)
• Browse tapes, synth, drum and mixdown; play a tape from the device
• Save to the Field Library, or send Library items back after an explicit confirm
• Full device backup and restore on this phone or tablet
• Preview tapes with multitrack playback, mute, solo, loop, reverse and tape speed
• Searchable offline Field manual
OP–XY
• Connect over USB-C to browse, import and send projects, samples and presets
• Browse your OP–XY Library on the phone — its own profile, never mixed with Field
• Full backup and restore, stored locally on this device
• Record stereo USB audio from OP–XY
• Searchable offline OP–XY manual
OP-1 ORIGINAL
• Connect over USB in DISK mode
• Browse tape, synth, drum and album on the mounted disk
• Save folders to the original Library, or send Library items back to the reel, album sides, or synth/drum user keys
• Convert an original Library tape to OP-1 field without touching the device
• Full-disk backup and restore, same original profile as the rest of the app
• Searchable offline OP-1 original manual
OP-Z
• Connect over USB-C in DISK mode
• Browse projects, samplepacks, bounces and config
• Save to the OP-Z Library, or send projects, samplepacks and config back
• Full-disk backup and restore
• Searchable offline OP-Z manual
LIBRARY
• Separate local libraries for Field, OP–XY, original and OP-Z — items never mix
• Share tapes, albums and recordings, or save them to a folder you choose
• Deleting a Library item or backup removes it from this device only
TAPE CLUB, FORUM & MESSAGES
• Optional community: listen and read without an account
• Sign in with Google to upload tapes, post, comment, or use Messages
USB needs a supported device, a data-capable USB-C cable, and the correct transfer mode (MTP on Field / OP–XY, DISK on original / OP-Z). Keep the app open until the transfer finishes.
