About this app

LITUP was born from a simple observation: millions of people want to read more, buy books, start chapters—and then give up. Not for lack of motivation, but for lack of structure and community.

We built LITUP to solve this fundamental problem.

The app transforms solitary reading into a collective and gamified experience. Each member joins a reading challenge with a daily page quota, reads directly in the integrated PDF reader, completes a quiz that unlocks points, and climbs a leaderboard in real time. Streaks, badges, and the Reader of the Day feature create a dynamic of sustained engagement that traditional reading apps have never been able to replicate.

LITUP is primarily aimed at French-speaking West Africans—a community of ambitious young adults, eager for personal development, who consume a massive amount of content on mobile devices but lack tools adapted to their reading habits. Senegal, Ivory Coast, Mali, and Cameroon represent markets underserved by major Western reading platforms. LITUP is designed for them, by someone who understands their culture.

Our model is based on a strong ethical commitment: all books available on LITUP are in the public domain. Think and Grow Rich, The Richest Man in Babylon, As a Man Thinketh, The Art of War—foundational titles in personal development, freely accessible to all. This commitment isn't a constraint; it's our identity.

At launch, LITUP has 20 carefully selected founding members. Their testimonials are already compelling: streaks of 21 consecutive days, challenges completed for the first time after years of giving up, and transformed reading habits. These results, achieved in just a few weeks, validate the power of the model.

The mechanics are simple yet profound. The integrated PDF reader with its anti-cheat system guarantees genuine reading—it's impossible to accumulate points without actually reading. The daily quiz, unlocked after reaching the page quota, anchors concepts in memory three times more effectively than passive reading. The real-time leaderboard transforms a private habit into a healthy and motivating competition.
