Kindred is a members-only home swapping network that harnesses the power of a trusted community to unlock a lifestyle rich with travel and human connection. By exchanging homes and apartments with peers, both renters and owners alike can access the opportunity to travel freely between vetted homes across North America and Europe.

HOW IT WORKS
Using Kindred is simple: you give a night to get a night. Members can swap homes 1-for-1, or book stays with credits earned by hosting others. For each night you host a member, you receive a credit to book a stay of your own at any Kindred home.

Once booked, your Kindred concierge takes care of all of logistics to make hosting and staying a breeze – from professional cleaning, to shipping you the guest sheets and toiletries – so you can focus on enjoying your trip.

Great concept and I love using Kindred's services but oh my the app usability is horrible! It's so not-intuitive and I find myself searching for messages and functions all the time. Hope they'll do a bit more on the UX side soon to improve the otherwise good experience

Kindred concept is great, but the issues are poorly handled. The cleaners left the heating on for two weeks after the guest left & used the washing machine for all duvets & towels, then left everything hanging for me to repack, yet Kindred refused any reimbursement/ real compensation and hid behind internal policies about cleaners not touching thermostats & always leaving laundry to hang dry. The idea is promising, but when something goes wrong, customer support does not take responsibility.

So far so good - you can tell the creators really care about getting the details right and giving a good user experience for both hosts and guests. I hope the quality stays high.
