Wind farm Fryslân is the world's largest wind farm in inland waterways. The Fryslân wind farm consists of 89 turbines of 4.3 megawatt (MW). On an annual basis, WPF produces approximately 1.5 terawatt hours * (1,500,000 megawatt hours). This is approximately 1.2% of the Dutch electricity consumption and this corresponds to the electricity consumption of approximately 500,000 households. The Fryslân Wind Farm will be operational in 2021.
