Somewhat decent app, but I can't add devices because the button it off the top of the screen (should test more Android screen types), I can't use my normal email address to sign up because their regular expression evaluation is incorrectly implemented (see RFC 2822), and a gateway is required? I'm not reducing stars for that last one, but it's very inconvenient. Why can't we just use Wi-Fi? The app look/feel is above average, which I like.

Terrible app. After fiddling with it for quite a few minutes I came to the realization that I have no clue how to add a device. I've literally tried every button and menu option. To make things even better, the product I tried to add (a lighting switch gateway) had some instructions that were out of date compared to how the app is now. I've also tried a universal Zigbee app but the product couldn't be added. Wasted money on trash products.

Fine when it's working but so often (like now) the livolo backend is down and so any switches or devices connected through it are no longer smart. Absolutely use other, more universal ZigBee devices, avoid Livolo altogether! Amazingly this 2* review will actually drag up the average review score. Update: a couple of months on and it's STILL not working properly. DO NOT purchase any Livolo devices as they don't work much more than they do.
