About this app

TrackMaster IGP is the training and analysis app for tracking in dog sports. You record the laid track via GPS, let your dog search it – and then see in black and white where the work was done correctly and where it wasn't. Designed for IGP 1–3 and IFH 1–3, it works offline and requires no user account.

HOW A TRIAL WORKS

1. LAIDING
Select a class or your own preset, start recording, and begin. Mark objects, angles, and errors by tapping the display, using the Bluetooth button, or directly on your smartwatch. The track is recorded seamlessly – even with the screen off.

2. TIME OUT
The timer runs continuously and calculates accurately, whether you search immediately or leave the track for later. Tracks can be shared as GPX files: one person lays the track, another searches.

3. SEARCH

Live map with advance warning: You see the distance to the next object or angle and are alerted via voice prompt or wrist vibration before you reach it. Confirm found objects with a tap – or the app can detect them automatically.

4. EVALUATE
You receive a score and grade (excellent to unsatisfactory), a color-coded heatmap of deviations, the largest deviation, dwell times at angles and objects, and all distances. Missed objects cost points and are marked in red. If desired, everything can be saved as a PDF for your training log or debriefing.


4. EVALUATE ANALYSIS THAT DOES MORE THAN JUST SAVE THE ROUTE
• Comparison of target and actual track via Dynamic Time Warping – deviations are measured, not estimated
• Five-level fault heatmap directly on the map

• Replay: Play back search work and follow along step by step

• Compare two runs side by side

• Statistics for all tracks: Score history, fault rates, progress per dog, class, and time period

• Weather and terrain data, as well as photos, are automatically documented with the track

WORK HANDS-FREE

• Shelly BLU Button1/Tough1: Single click = object, double click = angle, triple click = fault, long press = end phase

• Apple Watch and Wear OS: Control laying and searching entirely from your wrist, with distance, lay time, and vibration alerts

• Voice prompts via Bluetooth headphones, so your phone can stay in your pocket

• External Bluetooth GPS receivers such as the Garmin GLO 2 for greater accuracy

TRACKS PLANNING

• Track Planner: Mark out the area on the map, select the class – legs, angles, and objects are placed according to the specifications

• Freehand planning for any terrain

• Custom specifications with user-defined step counts, angles, and semicircles

• Save exam laying specifications for each class and always apply them correctly

ORGANIZATION FOR CLUB AND GROUP

• Manage multiple dogs and handlers; each track remains correctly assigned

• Training groups for joint evaluation

• Live Share: Share your location in real time with training partners – no account required, automatically deleted after two hours

• Light and dark mode, onboarding, and detailed instructions in the app

YOUR DATA
Tracks, photos, and profiles remain locally on your device. No account, no advertising, no tracking, no analytics SDKs. Coordinates are transmitted to map services (Mapbox), weather services (OpenWeather), and location services (Nominatim/OpenStreetMap); Live Share only occurs when you actively initiate it.

NOTES

The app uses your location in the background so that the tracking line continues even when the screen is off. Recording only starts on your command, is indicated by a persistent notification, and ends with the session. Shelly buttons, external GPS, and smartwatches are optional accessories – the app also works without them.
