Hortulus is a gentle raised-bed plant journal that brings the feeling of a wooden garden marker straight to your pocket. It helps home gardeners track exactly what is growing in each bed or pot, from the first seed to the final harvest. The main Bed screen shows a straight-on view of a wooden raised bed divided into soil cells, where each plant appears as a small wooden stake standing in its own spot. Each marker carries a colored label band that reflects your watering routine: blue for daily water, green for every two to three days, amber for up to a week, and terracotta for longer dry spells. Above the bed frame, two round terracotta saucers act as live counters showing your total plants and the number of plants needing water today. A compact strip beneath them highlights the three most recently added plant markers, and a trowel button gives you one-tap quick access to the Add tab. The Add tab centers a short, friendly form inside a wide terracotta pot shape where you remember the plant name, bed location, planting date, and watering interval in days. All your entries are stored locally on the device with no network needed, so your garden log stays private and available wherever you are. The Log tab presents a burlap‑backed list of every plant, sorted by planting date, with each row styled as a tiny marker showing the name, bed location, watering droplet icons, and a date stamp. You can tap any marker in the Bed view or the Log to open the record for editing, update its details, or remove a plant that has finished its season. The Search tab offers a top search field that instantly filters your plants by name or bed location, helping you find a specific crop even in a busy community plot. Large touch targets and simple text, date, and number inputs make the app easy to use while your hands are still covered in soil. Hortulus is designed for home vegetable gardeners with raised beds, balcony container growers, and community plot holders who want a focused, practical record without accounts or cloud subscriptions.
