About this game

The beetles are marching on your grove-heart, and dirt is your only weapon. Snap Root is a one-thumb ambush game: tap the winding path to plant a carnivorous snap-root, watch it swell and arm, then hear it CHOMP everything that walks into its jaws.

But every root needs a full second to arm. Panic-tap right on top of a beetle and it will stroll past your sleeping bud without a scratch. The real game is prediction: read the march, count the tiles, and plant where the swarm WILL be. Time it right and one root bites three, four, even five beetles at once for massive combo scores.

Your seed pouch regrows slowly, so every plant is a decision. Carpet the field and you will stand empty-handed when the horn sounds and the armored queen crests the hill — she takes three bites to bring down, and she is not waiting for you to save up.

Keep the grove clean to grow your multiplier, bank seeds for thrift bonuses, and defend the heart's three petals against an endless, ever-faster tide of beetles, skitters and queens. Weak nerves leak; cold prediction feasts.
