About this app

LocalCam Mirror lets you use one Android phone as a private remote camera and control it from another nearby Android phone.

No login. No internet. No cloud account. Just two Android devices connected locally.

How it works

Set one phone as the Camera and the other phone as the Controller.

The Camera phone streams a live preview. The Controller phone lets you view the feed, start or stop recording, and switch between the front and back camera remotely.

Key features

• Live camera preview between two nearby Android phones
• Remote camera control from a second device
• Start and stop video recording remotely
• Switch between front and back camera remotely
• Save recordings on the camera device
• Optionally receive a copy of the recording on the controller device
• Works over local nearby connections using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
• No account, login, or cloud setup required
• Designed for private offline use

Useful for

• Filming yourself from a distance
• Using a second phone as a camera monitor
• Recording hands-free videos
• Placing a phone at a hard-to-see angle
• Watching the live camera feed from another nearby device
• Simple two-phone camera setups at home, in the studio, or while practicing

Privacy

LocalCam Mirror is built for local use.

The app does not require an account. It does not upload your videos to a server. It does not use cloud storage for camera mirroring. Your preview and recordings stay between your devices.

Requirements

• Two Android devices running Android 13 or newer
• Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled on both devices
• Devices must be physically nearby
• Not available for iPhone

LocalCam Mirror is a simple, private way to turn one Android phone into a remote camera controlled by another Android phone.
