INFORMATION ABOUT THE USE OF THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE

Lock&Key uses the Android AccessibilityService API in order to provide its app locking feature. This permission is required for the core functionality of the app. The service detects when the app in the foreground changes; if the foreground app is on the list of apps you have chosen to lock, Lock&Key displays its lock screen and blocks access to that app. Because Android does not notify third-party apps in any other way that an app has come to the foreground, this functionality cannot be provided without the Accessibility Service.

The service only reads the package name of the foreground app, that is, the technical name of an application. It does not read, store, or share with third parties any on-screen text, your messages, your passwords, form fields, or any other personal content. It also does not perform any tap or gesture actions on your behalf.

Lock information is used solely to operate the locking feature and to show you your own usage statistics inside the app; it is not used for advertising and is not sold. The accessibility permission is enabled only with your explicit consent, and you can turn it off at any time from Settings > Accessibility on your device.
