Location-Based "Speed Check" reminders in "Real-Time" for SAPOL published Mobile Speed Camera locations delivered (~200m) before you get there!

Radar Reminder does exactly that - Speed Camera reminders for you - to "check your speed"!

Every day there is a new batch of 'covert Mobile Speed Camera locations' published and posted by SAPOL to their website.

We also provide warnings for Fixed Cameras - again ~ 200m before you get there.

We update our app as soon as SAPOL updates theirs - usually on a Tuesday evening.
Radar Reminder has a handy GPS speedometer on the dashboard as well as 'Start & Stop' buttons for easy muting of the alerts.

Be sure to have your phone safely secured in a cradle or similar.

Do not hold your phone in your hand when driving. It is illegal.

You can set the 'minimum speed' before you receive an alert to prevent unnecessary alerts while you're stationary.
30km/h is the default setting.
At this minimum speed for alerts, you'll avoid a 'desk-pop' alert and save your battery.

You can also set the Mobile Speed Camera and Fixed Speed Camera alerts to repeat every 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5-minute intervals.
The best setting is 1 minute for Mobile SpdCamVans and 3 minutes for Fixed.

The App delivers three different types of alerts for speed cameras with the app running in the "Foreground Mode" = RR Dashboard on screen.

RR SA now comes with twin levels of 'Over-Speed' warnings.
You can set the low-level alert from +1 to +7 kph over the speed limit (as advised by OSM) and the high-level from +3 to +15 kph over the speed limit.




We also are running our own Open Street Maps database locally here in Adelaide for superior speed limit advice.

The app updates via the database hourly.

To provide speed camera and overspeed alerts while you drive, Radar Reminder needs to:
• Monitor your location while ACTIVE, including when the screen is locked or other apps are in use
• Compare your position with known speed camera locations
• Display your current speed and speed limits
• Provide audible alerts when you are overspeeding or approaching cameras
You will see a persistent notification while monitoring is active, indicating that location tracking is running.
This service runs only while monitoring is ACTIVE and can be stopped at any time using the STOP button.
