At the heart of the experience is Genome Studio, an interactive space where you can walk through a simplified sequencing workflow from start to finish. You can simulate reads, review quality control, align sequences to a reference, explore coverage, and inspect variant calls in a visual, hands-on way. Everything runs locally using synthetic and curated demo datasets, so you can experiment freely without uploading personal files or connecting to developer-operated servers.

Beyond the pipeline, Locusline Prism Forge offers a practical toolkit for everyday sequence work. Reverse complement, translation, alignment helpers, ORF search, and k-mer counting are powered by on-device algorithms, making it easy to test ideas and reinforce concepts while you study. Lab calculators for genetics and molecular biology — including Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium, melting temperature estimation, and FASTQ quality review — turn formulas into something you can actually try with your own inputs.

The app also includes a demo workspace with sample runs, variant annotations, genotype entries, and a marker catalog designed to illustrate how real-world databases are organized. Phylogenetics tools let you build trees from sequence data, while the learning section covers codon tables, IUPAC notation, and a handy glossary for quick reference. When you are ready to summarize your work, you can draft lab reports and export them for your notes or coursework.

Your workspace stays private by design. Simulated run history, notebook entries, and preferences are stored on your device. You can clear your notes at any time, and uninstalling the app removes local data. Android automatic backup is disabled for this application.
