Logesong App in Kokborok language is to some extent the app version of ‘the Book of Prayers and Hymns’ of the same title, extensively used in the Catholic Diocese of Agartala, Tripura, India. The Application brings to the virtual world the contents of that book and much more with the hope that it will not only help the user get more familiar with prayers, hymns and liturgy in Kokborok but also grow in his or her faith and relationship with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Being one of the few apps in Kokborok language, efforts were made to maintain simplicity of design and ease of use. The user-centric nature of the application distinguishes it and is sure to appeal even to country-folk who have only limited experience of engaging with applications and websites.
Besides numerous prayers and Holy Mass, the app also presents the readings of the Holy Mass for the entire year along with a short meditation on the sacred readings. Another noteworthy feature of the app is the inclusion of all the Kokborok hymns found in the latest edition of Logesong Book. The audio link provided alongside the lyrics answers a long-standing and much talked about need felt by individuals and communities who do not know a given hymn but wish to learn it. The searchable glossary of liturgical terms in the Dalbidal section is another noteworthy feature of the app simply because till date consensus regarding many liturgical terms have not been arrived at.
