The latest update is good in some ways and buggy in others, especially if you use a tablet. The new tab function doesn't work when you use the scroll left and right function. The only way to use the tabs is to go to the add screen and select them. Also, the control panels when visible cover some of the book's writing. This is an issue when using the scroll left and right function. Please add the book name, chapter, verse and ability to select other chapters and verses when the control panels are not visible. Having to activate the control panels just to navigate to another location isn't very efficient. Thanks.
Love the recent update with tabbed browsing. Feels more natural and I can have more than two books open if I choose. I also like that I can more easily choose my preferred Bible. Much easier than having to open up your collection and pick it from there manually. Also, the split window is more obvious and clear. Thanks you guys at Faithlife. Love this app!
I would have given the previous version 5 stars. I'm extremely disappointed that the Recents feature is now gone. I try to read through my Bible every year, and I depended on the Recents feature to keep my place as I jumped around (particularly on Sunday morning following along with the sermon) during Bible studies and following references. I am very disappointed that this feature is gone, and fervently hope to see it restored in the next version. Other than this one feature that was removed, this application deserves 5 stars.
I'm looking forward to adding a star or two on to this after they've worked out some of the bugs in the new update. For now three stars is all I can give it, because the UI used to be clunky and difficult, but now it is also buggy. The app does not pick up where I left off in my Bible reading whenever I open it, but always shows me something that I was reading a day or two before that. I can see where I was in the history, so I'm not sure why it doesn't take me to the right place, but it doesn't. I cannot get the split screen to turn into a single screen. Finding the verse picker is far from intuitive. And I couldn't get the back button to work when I was in the verse screen and wanted to go back to the chapter screen. I think the tabbed browsing is a brilliant idea, but so far I can't get most of the rest of the things that I would normally use to work the way I would expect.
v6.0.3: works OK, except how can I unlink Bible tabs so I can study different passages at the same time?
Logos is fantastic bible software programme, i love it cause i have access to it on my computer, smart phone and tablet.
