I've loved the amazing in depth tools of Logos since the Libronix 3 days. I think they're falling short in making this the go to Bible app though. For serious Bible study I open my laptop or grab books from the shelf. This app is good for syncing with those notes and providing some great study resources on the go, but the custom reading plan options are lacking and there's no audio Bible option like other free Bible apps. If you haven't invested in a Logos library and use it on other platforms, you might like other apps better.
The biggest problem I have with the app is the Exegetical Guide. For example, if I type in John 1:1-5, I only get verse 1 and part of verse 2 parsed out. You try to scroll down to see the rest of the text that you requested and it won't let you see any more. Real bummer. I hope someone is working on that because it really limits the use of this app.
This is fantastic. It's great to always have the scriptures on you, and this lets you have even more, having multiple translations, commentaries, and study tools always on you. I recommend it to my friends often, especially those who want to study deeper.
Best Bible study application ever! I'm using the desktop application as well and it greatly increased my Bible study quality. I recommend Logos to anyone who wants to delve deeper into the Scriptures.
"I once was blind but now I see" This was it, the Bible Software I've been waiting for. It's not just a single column, but a dual window; like a real study Bible, you've got Scriptures up top and Notes or other Study volumes on the bottom. And Footnotes, but wait not actually Footnotes, because when you touch one of them, it pops up in a separate box and when you're done touch outside of the box and it's gone. And if that wasn't enough...when you're reading the Notes and there is a scriptural reference...
It's a nice app. I wish reading was more like a normal Kindle or Google Books app where flip pages. There's this annoying feature where if I press the back button it brings the book I'm reading to the start again. Who thought that was a good idea? The back button should bring me back to the main app menu. I should only be brought back to the start of the book if I click on the TOC and specifically choose to go there. If they change that I'll give 5 stars.
