You are a mote of light caught in orbit around a distant world. Tap once and you let go, flying straight and true until another planet's gravity reaches out and
catches you. Time it well and you slingshot away faster than you arrived. Time it badly and you drift into the dark.
Planet Drifters is an endless, minimalist one-touch space arcade about momentum, timing and nerve. No buttons. No joystick. Just you, gravity, and the next planet.
HOW IT PLAYS
Hold your orbit to line up the shot. Release on the tangent and fly. Bigger worlds launch you harder, tighter orbits give you less time to think, and every orbit slowly decays until you have to move. Release inside the sweet spot for a perfect slingshot and build a combo that multiplies everything you earn.
WHAT YOU WILL FIND OUT THERE
- Ten kinds of world, each one flying differently. Moonlets, gas giants, pulsars
that force your spin, binary pairs that turn beneath you, and neutron stars that
fling you half a sector.
- Six hazards to read and survive. Drifting debris, solar flares, ion storms,
singularities, meteors and wormholes.
- The Rift, a collapsing edge of space that rises behind you and never stops.
- Five sectors, each with its own colour and its own trouble.
GET STRONGER EVERY RUN
Distance turns into gravitons. Spend them in the Drydock on eight permanent
upgrade tracks: launch power, hull shielding, capture range, orbit stability, mote
collection, refining, sensors and resonance tuning.
ROGUELIKE RESONANCES
Every 500 km the run stops and offers you a choice.
Fourteen resonances, most with a real cost attached.
Trade capture range for launch speed.
Slow the Rift but earn less.
Take a shield away for more gravitons.
No two runs build the same way.
