You cannot jump. You cannot steer. You run right, forever, and your only move is TIME.

Backtrack is a one-thumb reflex-puzzle runner built on a single strange verb. Hold anywhere and your runner scrubs BACKWARD along the shimmering trail it just laid down — but the world does not rewind with you. Crusher pistons keep pounding on their cycles, and a full-height kill-wall keeps grinding forward, eating your trail from behind. Let go and you snap forward in a speed dash as long as the distance you rewound. Every hold is a bet: spend a little lead to slip a slam, spend a lot to slingshot a guillotine.

The genius is in the pressure. Rewinding buys you perfect timing but burns the lead you fought for. Hold too long and your trail runs dry, leaving you frozen while the wall swallows you whole. Read the glowing phase rings above each piston, thread the open windows, and chain CLOSE CALLS to pump your combo to x8.

Crusher patterns escalate from lone stampers to anti-phase twins, cascading chord waves, and wide guillotines that demand a committed rewind. Nothing is a twitch trap — every slam is telegraphed, and every mistake is a little lost lead you can win back.
