L&L began with a small shop on O‘ahu in 1952.
It quickly became a destination for Hawai‘i locals craving island favorites like saimin, fries, burgers and of course plate lunches.

L&L’s reputation for serving fresh, made-to-order plate lunches spread, and what started as just one L&L Drive Inn soon grew. Locations opened across O‘ahu and then throughout the Hawaiian Islands, U.S. mainland and beyond.

My first review of this app was pretty harsh, only one star. They have since made some updates that have been an improvement. It's easier to navigate and to see the menu options. I was able to pay via Samsung Pay or Google Wallet. If you pay with a card it still forces you to save the card on the pay platform. I don't like anyone storing my payment information. As soon as I made a purchase I would delete my payment info.

As of 11-25-2025, the app works fine for tracking points. I've not tried to redeem them yet, so I can't speak for that. The app/company recently added tiers which has severely limited what you can redeem points for. This would not be a problem, but they have made the mistake of tier points only being counted by orders through the app. That MUST be changed. Please let my QR scans count towards tiers, otherwise this app is pointless. Please add an option for no cabbage/garnish in the orders.

The app is clunky at best but also extremely intrusive. Great combination. Unfortunately it's not integrated with the systems at the store so after placing the order and driving 30 minutes to pick it up I found out no one had done anything with it because they didn't know about it. They then manually found the order from the app and told me it would be another 20 minutes until they could get the food ready. Terrible terrible terrible execution. no excuse when thousands of others do it right.
