About this app

Drivers Log SA is an electronic learner driver logbook for South Australian learner drivers, replacing the paper logbook with a simple, verifiable digital record.

Every trip is verified by your supervising driver in real time. Before you start driving, your supervisor enters their permit and phone number and confirms with a one-time SMS code, so every hour you log is backed by a real, verified supervisor.

How it works
• Start a trip and verify your supervisor with a one-time SMS code
• The app records your route, distance, and driving time
• Log conditions as you go: road type, weather, and traffic density
• Trips are separated into day and night driving, tracked against your required hours
• Review your full trip history any time, with the route map for each trip

Tracking your progress
Drivers Log SA helps you track your progress toward the 75 hours (4,500 minutes) of supervised driving, including 15 hours (900 minutes) of night driving, that South Australia requires for learner drivers. You can generate a printable PDF report of your Day and Night driving hours to keep for your own records or to present when applying for your licence.

Location data
To record your driving route and distance, Drivers Log SA collects location data, including in the background when the app is closed or your screen is locked, but only while a trip is being recorded. This data is used to build your driving log and is not used for advertising.
