About this game

Hoi Polloi Logoi helps students of Ancient Greek master verb forms. Parse verbs and produce forms to earn coins. Collect enough coins to unlock mythical monsters! Customize the game by choosing tenses, voices, and moods, and the presence or absence of accents. The game increases in difficulty as the player’s skills improve.

For their generous support, many thanks to the Classical Association of Middle, West, and South (CAMWS Faculty-Undergraduate Collaborative Research Grant), the Loeb Classical Library Foundation (LCLF Fellowship), and the University of Winnipeg.

Hoi Polloi Logoi was inspired by the "Hoplite Challenge Cup", a non-digital game created by Drs. Hardy Hansen and Gerald Quinn for the intensive Greek program at CUNY. Thanks to Dr. Hansen for his encouragement and advice at the earliest stages of development.

Great idea to exercise Tense, Mood, Voice and Verb while using public transit or just for fun. I'm really glad as a student that someone thought on how to turn learning Ancient Greek into a game. Collect 'togas' to unlock secrets. Please, add 1st, 2nd and 3rd declesions of nouns and adjectives! Being able to translate either from Anc. Greek to English or otherwise would be awesome. Great idea, nice job!

Useful for practicing a few basic verb forms. Hopefully they will add more verbs and ideally also nouns. The app has cool art but annoying sounds that can't be turned off.

You could do better (compared to Vice Verba) in matter of aesthetic, bugs and ergonomy. But oh Lord this is really good ! I expected it for a long long time ! Thanks !!!
