I don't understand the good ratings. This app is consistently 20 degrees off to the west. I know where Polaris is in the sky and where true celestial north is, but this app always claims "alignment" when I am 20 degrees west of the actual celestial pole. My equipment isn't pointing anywhere near the correct position when the app indicates that it is correct.

This app doesn't work with my ioptron sky tracker even with the suggested wood stick. I suspect the ferrous materials or stray magnetic field. It works well when a good distance away (1-2 meter?).

Uses magnetic north, not true north. I got no closer to a polar alignment with this app than I did just being very accurate with leveling, longitude and a manual compass
