Got the lamp as a Christmas gift from my girlfriend. She didn't tell me she spent over $200 for poor functionality and an anxiety attack over being unable to connect it to the internet. The lights are surrounded by a translucent cover, so it's still dim on the brightest setting. You can customize your color, but not the pattern as the handbook suggests, so your options are: slowly blinking, consistently on, or turns itself off randomly without interaction... none which you can usually control.

Edit: they sent me some to try again and this time they worked, but not in my room. Apparently my room is too far away from the router or something and it won't connect, which was part of the problem the first time on my end, but when I moved out to the router that should've changed. Anyway, they work now just not where I'd like them to. The first time I ordered these I couldn't get mine to connect and tried the instant messenger it took two weeks of not super helpful responses til I returned it

Has some SERIOUS connection issues that NEED to be fixed. It's beyond frustrating. Once every day or 2, the lamp will go red and disconnect without warning, requiring a reconnect. I would be willing to look past this if it weren't for the fact that the lamp just REFUSES to connect to certain WiFi networks. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! Not to mention other issues... like how patterns are non-existent. My gf and I bought lamps but they won't work. I don't want this to be $110 down the drain. Plz fix!!

Hi there, please contact us at support@luvlink.com and we'll get this resolved. If there are any issues with the lamps then we'll gladly arrange a replacement for you. Unfortunately, the lamps won't connect on 5G wifi networks, but should connect to all other wifi networks. Patterns should be released on the app soon :)
