About this app

Transform walls, objects, and other real-world surfaces into dynamic visual displays with Luxar.
Luxar is a projection-mapping studio for Android phones, tablets, and Android TV. Use your mobile device as the controller and your Android TV device as the visual receiver. Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network, aim your projector at the desired surface, and shape the projection directly from your phone.

CREATE AND CALIBRATE SURFACES
Build projects with multiple independent surface layers. Adjust the four corners of each layer to align visuals with walls, panels, objects, and other physical forms.

EXPLORE DYNAMIC VISUALS
Choose from a collection of real-time procedural effects rendered on your Android TV device. Fine-tune each layer with controls for animation speed, brightness, opacity, rotation, and aspect ratio.

SAVE YOUR SETUPS
Save planning and animation presets so you can quickly return to your preferred surface layouts and visual combinations. Projects are stored on your device and can be exported or imported as JSON.

FAST LOCAL CONNECTION
Luxar automatically discovers compatible Android TV devices on the same Wi-Fi network. You can also connect manually using the TV’s local IP address. Project updates and calibration changes are transferred over your local network.

OFFLINE STUDIO MODE
Don’t have an Android TV device available? Explore the interface, create projects, arrange surface layers, and prepare presets in Offline Studio Mode.

HOW TO USE LUXAR
Install and open Luxar on your Android TV device.
Open Luxar on your Android phone or tablet.
Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network.
Select the discovered TV or enter its local IP address.
Connect a projector to the Android TV device.
Create surfaces, align their corners, and select your visuals.
Luxar is designed for creative installations, ambient displays, events, stage environments, digital decoration, and projection-mapping experiments.

Requirements: A compatible Android TV device and a projector or display are required for projection onto physical surfaces. Device discovery and live control require both devices to be connected to the same local network.
